This recipe is a variation of a classic Italian dish.
Ingredients:
1 pint oysters
1 medium onion
1 clove minced garlic
8 oz tomatoes
4 oz. tomato sauce
1/3 tsp. salt
dash pepper
oregano to taste
1/4 tsp dried or fresh basil
1/4 tsp. celery seed
1/4 cup cooking wine
Instructions:
- Slice onions and tomatoes. Chop garlic and basil.
- Add all the ingredients and simmer until vegetables are tender.
- Serve with garlic bread or festive crackers.
